Atlanta, GA -- Experts from HVS, the word’s leading hotel consultancy and appraisal firm, will contribute to a panel on hotel valuation techniques and host a booth at the 22nd annual Hunter Hotel Investment Conference. The conference will be held March 17-19 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

Mike Brophy, Director of Consulting and Valuation Services at HVS Atlanta, will participate as a panelist in a breakout session titled “Hotel Values in a Challenging Market.”

“Last year was all about hanging on, and this year is all about moving forward,” said Brophy. “We’re going to see more hotels come up for sale and buyers with the incentive to capitalize. For both parties it’s vital to know how much their hotel is worth in today’s market and where its value will stand five to ten years in the future. The reinvigorated transactions market will give appraisers another prism through which to determine accurate property values, and I look forward to exchanging insights on valuation strategies with my fellow panel participants and conference attendees.”

The “Hotel Values in a Challenging Market” breakout session will meet from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 18.

Heidi Nielsen, Janet Snyder, and Ryan Bee, hotel appraisal and consulting associates with HVS Atlanta, will host an exhibition booth at the conference. The booth will feature giveaways and the opportunity to discuss hotel industry trends with HVS appraisal experts.

The Hunter Hotel Investment Conference, presented by Hunter Realty Investments, Inc., is one of the top hotel conferences in the industry. The 2010 conference will bring together representatives from the construction, financing, consulting, and ownership sectors, offering the opportunity to network and discuss business prospects with industry veterans.

RECENT NEWS
Monday 26 July 2010 | With the increasingly dominant role of technology, methods for making travel plans have changed dramatically over the past decade. It is now possible to book a flight, rent a car and reserve a hotel room -- all while sitting in a movie theater or even in a car wash.
Monday 26 July 2010 | While voluntourism is not new, it appears to be at a product life-cycle stage where it can transition from a marginal offering to a mainstream travel market alternative, whether as the “main event” or to be incorporated in small doses in trips with other objectives (corporate meetings, family vacations, etc.).
