"Innovations intended to improve the guest experience and resources that are environmentally conscious will dominate attention at the 2007 IH/M&RS," said Christian Falkenberg, show manager. "These two trends are key this year, as hotels and restaurants strive to create unique experiences while, at the same time, introduce products that demonstrate environmental awareness."
Attendees shopping the lodging side of the Show will find The Gift of Peaceful Sleep by Essence of Vali, an amenity size collection of its popular Sleep Soothing Mist, Sleep Massage & Bath Oil and Sleep Concentrate, packaged in a pillow pack box. ZVOX Audio will introduce it's new ZVOX 415 HS, the first high-performance audio system designed specifically for the hospitality industry with speakers, amplifier, virtual surround circuitry and a powered subwoofer all enclosed within a slim, low-profile cabinet. Also, the Beach Butler Paging System will be showcased by Long Range Systems, a new technology that provides guests with on-demand service from hotel staff while lounging poolside or other areas outside their guest room.
Among the products to be featured for the restaurant industry are new uniform options from Cintas, featuring the revolutionary XLA lastrol stretch fiber which keeps up with the busy pace of restaurant staff. Exhibitors also will introduce numerous green products and technologies in line with the green emphasis of the 2007 IH/M&RS and the industry's movement towards developing more eco-friendly hospitality operations. Pacific Coast Feather Company will showcase its new Natural Living Bedding Line, considered to be a renewable resource because it is filled with Ingeo fibers derived from corn. Room Service Amenities will present Green from Natüra, an environmentally-friendly amenity program that uses revolutionary Plastarch Material (PSM), a natural resin composed of modified cornstarch and other biodegradable materials.
